USAID and Azexport cooperate
A meeting was held between Aykhan Gadashov, the head of the Azexport.az portal operated by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, and representatives of the Private Sector Development project of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). At the meeting, discussions were held in the direction of exporting Azerbaijan's exportable products to foreign markets. Also, requirements regarding FDA and other certification procedures required during the export of food products from Azerbaijan to the United States of America were touched upon. In this direction, discussions were held on further improvement of the mechanism of supporting local companies.
It should be noted that the Azexport portal is currently implementing a pilot project with local companies in the direction of exporting canned foods, confectionery products, fruit juices and other "Made in Azerbaijan" brand products to the states of New York, California and Washington.
