
Azerbaijan's employment policy and reforms presented in Vienna
Ayaz Museyibov, Deputy Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, participated in a training program organized by the Joint Vienna Institute (JVI) in Vienna, Austria, at the invitation of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
During the program, IMF representatives presented on important issues such as measures to increase employment, strengthening labor market institutions, tax policies aimed at reducing informal employment, the role of income management and social insurance programs. Additionally, the training focused on the challenges facing labor markets in Central, Eastern, and Southeastern Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia, including demographic changes, labor productivity levels, and labor market participation.
At the event, which was attended by representatives from various countries and Azerbaijani state institutions, Ayaz Müseyibov delivered a presentation on Azerbaijan's achievements in employment policy, ongoing reforms, and innovative initiatives. He also emphasized that Azerbaijan's employment policy has been recognized as a global innovative case by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), with the reforms in this area receiving high praise and being awarded international recognition. He highlighted the "National Program" carried out within the framework of the "4S Academy" in Azerbaijan. Representatives from other countries expressed great interest in Azerbaijan's successes in employment policy and the large-scale programs it has implemented.
