The next issue of "Turkic Economic Outlook" has been presented
The issue dedicated to the first half of 2023 of the "Turkic Economic Outlook" prepared by the Turkish World Research Center (TDAM) operating under the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication has been presented. This issue of the review consists of two sections. In the first section, an overview of the member and observer countries of the Organization of Turkic States (TSO) was presented, their territory, population, gross domestic product (GDP) and trade turnover and their share in the world were described, a comparison of the GDP growth of Turkish countries was made separately. Also, the existing and planned transport corridors passing through the Turkic world are reflected. The overview covering all the member and observer countries included in the TDT was presented in 8 languages.
The overview statistics of the TDT member and observer states of the review show that the GDP of the Turkish states in 2022 was 1537.0 billion US dollars, and the trade turnover was 1192.7 billion US dollars. In the first half of 2023, the economy of Turkey grew by 3.8 percent, the economy of Azerbaijan by 0.5 percent, the economy of Uzbekistan by 5.6 percent, the economy of Kyrgyzstan by 3.9 percent, and the economy of Kazakhstan by 5.1 percent. In Hungary, which is an observer of TDT, an economic decline of 2.4 percent was recorded in the first half of 2023. In terms of the growth of state budget revenues, the best indicator is in Turkey with 48.6 percent. The revenues of the state budget of Turkey in the first half of 2023 were 72,203.6 million US dollars. Kazakhstan (trade balance 8739.7 million US dollars) and Azerbaijan (trade balance 6556.7 million US dollars) have the highest balance in foreign trade. During the first half of 2023, an increase in the funds directed to the fixed capital is observed in each of the TDT member countries.
It should be noted that in the second section of the "Turkic Economic Outlook", the main macroeconomic indicators of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Uzbekistan and Hungary for the first half of 2023, and of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus for 2021 were given in a comparative manner.
