Prof. Vusal Gasimli, the Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, met with Prof. Inna Shteinbuka the Director of the Research Institute of the University of Latvia and the Chairman of the Latvian Fiscal Discipline Council.

V. Gasimli informed about the directions of activity of CAERC, implemented projects, as well as created monitoring and evaluation institute. He also informed about the reforms carried out in the fiscal field in Azerbaijan, including the implementation of the result-based and efficient management concept in the country. The executive director was also created for the purpose of direct, operative and effective control over the implementation of the measures provided for in the "I State Program on the Great Return to the territories liberated from occupation of the Republic of Azerbaijan" and the "Socio-economic development strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2022-2026". provided detailed information about the portals. He said that these portals operate in a multifunctional and interactive form. It was noted that this accountability mechanism created for the implementation of relevant measures in the liberated territories is one of the rare examples on a global scale, which allows to conduct various analytical analyzes and make decisions in real time and is created at the state level.

Inna Shteinbuka, director of the Research Institute of the University of Latvia, expressed her satisfaction with the information presented at the meeting. He said that there are good opportunities for cooperation and exchange of experience between institutions. He also informed about the activities of the institution he leads in the direction of strengthening fiscal discipline in Latvia.
