Vusal Gasimli met with representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development
Vusal Gasimli, Executive director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, held an online meeting with the delegation of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
During the meeting, which was attended by Christine Heydon, EBRD's Chief Adviser on Competitiveness Management and Political Affairs, Lizaveta Trakhalina and Nikola Lipari, consultants of the international organization, Vusal Gasimli, Executive Director of CAERC, spoke about the work done in the direction of improving the business and investment environment in Azerbaijan, achievements and reforms. At the same time, in this direction, he noted the target indicators adopted in the country's development strategy for the next 5-year period and the practical approaches that ensure their implementation.
At the meeting, the joint project of the European Union and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development "Overview of the investment environment and action plans for the country" document was discussed. The purpose of the document, which is currently in the next round of consultations with the government of Azerbaijan, was to identify priority areas for reforms and potential technical assistance activities to improve the business environment.
Vusal Gasimli also answered the questions of international experts at the online meeting, which was attended by the department heads of CAERC, Rashad Huseynov and Vusala Jafarova.
