The October issue of "Export Review" has been announced
Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) presented the October issue of "Export Review". According to the review, total exports of Azerbaijan amounted to 26.5 billion US dollars, and exports in the non-oil sector increased by 10.6% compared to the corresponding period of 2022 and amounted to 2.4 billion US dollars during January-September 2023. During the same period exports of food products amounted to 616.3 million US dollars.
During the first 9 months of the current year, the export of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 3.3 times, electricity by 2.7 times, the export of ferrous metal products by 34.3%, and the export of fruits and vegetables by 7.1%.
During January-September 2023, the statistical value of joint export of agricultural and agro-industrial products increased by 8.4% and amounted to 641.2 million US dollars. The value created by agro-industrial products, which occupy a significant place in the composition of non-oil/gas exports, increased by 22.4% compared to the corresponding period of last year and amounted to 145.9 million US dollars.
Electricity (330.4 million US dollars) topped the list of non-oil goods exported during January-September 2023. In this list, tomato (tomato) (124.3 million US dollars) is in second place, and gold (101.8 million US dollars) is in third place.
During January-September 2023, 787.3 million US dollars to the Russian Federation, 631.8 million US dollars to Turkey, 240.4 million US dollars to Georgia, 112.5 million US dollars to the Swiss Confederation, and 78.1 million US dollars to Kazakhstan. worth of non-oil sector goods were exported.
Non-oil exports in September of the current year amounted to 223.89 million US dollars. Of this, 44.9 million US dollars were exports of food products, and 178.9 million US dollars were exports of non-food products.
In September 2023, the Russian Federation (65.9 million US dollars) rose to the first place in the list of countries that exported the most goods related to the non-oil sector. Turkey (45.3 million US dollars) and Switzerland (26.2 million US dollars) were the second in this list.
Gold (25.7 million US dollars), electricity (15.4 million US dollars), and hazelnuts (10 million US dollars) ranked first in the list of non-oil exported goods in September 2023.
It was noted in the "Export Overview" that the value of non-oil exports carried out through the "One Stop Shop" Export Support Center in October 2023 was 18.4 million US dollars.
"Export Review" compiled a rating of both non-state and state-owned exporting subjects in the non-oil sector in January-September 2023. According to this rating, the following companies were represented in the top ten in the rating of non-state exporting subjects in the mentioned period: Shirinov Elvin Valeh oglu, "MKT Ishtishalat Kommersiya" LLC, "Baku Steel Company" CJSC, "Azerbaijan International Mining Company Limited" Representation in the Republic of Azerbaijan , "Best Logistik" LLC, "STP Global Cable" LLC, "P-Agro" LLC, "My Fruit" LLC, "Mega Fruit Az" LLC, "Mors Trading" LLC.
The list of state-owned companies participating in export operations in the non-oil sector is headed by "Azerenergy" OJSC. The following companies are represented in this list: Marketing and Economic Operations Department of SOCAR, "Socar Polymer" LLC, "Azeraluminium" LLC, "AzerGold" CJSC, "Azerpambig Agrarian Industrial Complex" LLC, "Azerbaijan Airlines" CJSC, " Azeripak" LLC, "Azerbaijan Railways” CJSC, Nakhchivan State Energy Service .
In January-September 2023, the Space Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan ("Azercosmos") exported satellite telecommunication services worth 14.4 million US dollars to 46 countries of the world. Azerkosmos' income from service export made up 78 percent of its total income. In September 2023, "Azerkosmos" exported services worth 1.8 million US dollars to 45 countries of the world.
The top five satellite telecommunication services exports in January-September 2023 are the United Kingdom with 4.1 million US dollars, Luxembourg with 3.1 million US dollars, UAE with 1.2 million US dollars, Germany with 815 thousand US dollars. and Nigeria with 572 thousand US dollars.
In January-September 2023, 1.6 billion manat transactions were carried out with payment cards issued by other non-resident financial institutions in the payment service network belonging to banks, and in September alone, transactions worth 186.2 million manats were carried out.
