According to the April issue of the "Export Review", in January-March 2022, Azerbaijan's exports amounted to 8 billion USD, 727,2 mln USD in the non-oil sector. Exports in the non-oil sector amounted to 225,6 million USD compared to 2021 or increased by 45%.
In January-March 2022, fruit and vegetable production increased by 28,5% compared to the same period of last year and amounted to 124,9 million USD. During the relavant period, exports of chemical products increased by 10 times, aluminum and aluminum products by 63.9%, ferrous metals and their products by 48.7% cotton fiber by 29.3%, cotton yarn by 5.6%.
In January-MArch 2022, cotton wool (72,2 million US dollars) took first place among exported products of the non-oil sector, carbamide was second (53,2 million US dollars) and shelled hazelnut was third (39,5 million US dollars).
In January-March 2022, 255,2 million USD worth of non-oil goods were exported to Turkey, 149,4 million USD to the Russian Federation, 47,4 million USD to Georgia, 33,3 million USD to Swiss Confederation, 28,9 million USD to USA.
In March 2022, exports amounted to $ 2 billion. Exports in the non-oil sector increased by 55.9% to $ 265,5 million. In March 2022, exports of food products increased by 13.6% compared to the same month of last year to $ 48,8 million, and non-food products increased by 70.1% to $ 216,7 million.
In March 2022, Turkey (101,9 million US dollars) topped the list of countries where the largest part of non-oil goods are exported. Russian Federation was second (30,4 million US dollars) and Georgia was third (19,3 million US dollars).
In March 2022, carbamide (23,9 million US dollars) took first place among exported products of the non-oil sector, cotton wool was second (21,1 million US dollars) and other primary substances formed as a result of polymerization were third (18,6 million US dollars).
The Export Review has compiled a ranking of both non-governmental and governmental exporters in the non-oil sector in January-March 2022.
The top ten companies in the ranking of non-governmental exporters in January-February 2022 are the following: “MKT Industrial Commerce LLC”, Representation of “Azerbaijan International Mining Company Limited” in the Republic of Azerbaijan, “P-Agro” LLC, “Agrovest” LLC, “Chinar Agro” LLC, "Mors Trading" LLC, "STP Alüminium" LLC, “Product Service” LLC, “ZR-78 Company” LLC, “Azerbaijan Sugar Production Association” LLC.
The list of state-owned companies involved in export operations in the non-oil sector is headed by the SOCAR “Marketing and Economic Operations Department”. Next on this list are “SOCAR Polymer” LLC, “Azeraluminium” LLC, “Azərenerji” OJSC, “Azercotton Agricultural and Industrial Complex” LLC, “AzerGold” CJSC, “Azeripek” LLC, “Azerbaijan Airlines” CJSC, “Department of Geophysics and Geology”, State Energy Service of Nakhchivan AR.
In January-March 2022, Azercosmos OJSC exported services (satellite telecommunication and optical services) worth 6,2 million US dollars to 31 countries of the world. Profit earned from the export of services amounted to 86 percent of the total profit of Azercosmos OJSC. In March 2022, Azercosmos OJSC exported services worth 2,1 million US dollars to 30 countries of the world.
In January-March 2022, the top five in exporting satellite telecommunication and optical services were United Kingdom (1,6 million US dollars), France (1,1 million US dollars), Luxembourg (1,1 million US dollars), UAE (0,6 million US dollars), and Pakistan (0,4 million US dollars).
In March 2022, the total cost of operations made by foreign citizens through bank cards in our country amounted to 158,5 million manats. In general, in January-March 2022, this figure was 549,7 million manats.
The total amount of export orders submitted to the Azexport.az portal in January-March 2022 amounted to 132,6 million US dollars. In March 2022, the volume of export orders received by the portal amounted to 48,7 million US dollars. In March 2022, the list of most ordered goods from Azexport.az portal included cottonseed chicken, medical gown, leech, building materials, tobacco, wheat flour, corn oil, sunflower oil, potatoes, strawberries, etc. From January 2017 to March 31, 2022 (for 63 months), the value of export orders received by the portal Azexport.az from 145 countries amounted to 2,94 billion US dollars.
At the same time, according to the Export Review, during April 2022, the total cost of the non-oil export implemented through the One-Stop-Shop Export Support Center was 29,2 million US dollars.
