A meeting was held on increasing employment in the liberated territories
Discussions were conducted to specify target indicators for the upcoming years of the “Action Plan on Increasing Employment Opportunities of the Population in the Liberated Territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2024-2026.” The online meeting was attended by Sabina Jumazade, Deputy Head of the Monitoring and Evaluation Division at the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication; Elshan Yusifli, Head of the Sectoral Programs Monitoring Sector; and Gurban Rzayev, leading advisor of the relevant sector, along with responsible representatives from the primary implementing agencies outlined in the Action Plan.
The coordinated efforts undertaken by the implementing agencies to achieve the indicators stipulated in the Action Plan contribute to enhancing employment opportunities in the liberated territories and ensuring sustainable resettlement. During the meeting, emphasis was placed on the areas requiring attention during indicative planning for the next phase of implementation.
To ensure the comprehensive and effective execution of the measures and to strengthen assessment capabilities, the necessity of subdividing the indicators for each item of the Action Plan for 2025 into sub-indicators and defining target indicators was highlighted.
It is important to note that, in accordance with paragraph 2 of Order No. 942s of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, dated December 13, 2023, approving the “Action Plan on Increasing Employment Opportunities of the Population in the Liberated Territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2024-2026,” the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication has been tasked with monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the measures outlined in the Action Plan.
