The book "Economic Growth" written by Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, Doctor of Economics, Professor Vusal Gasimli has been published. The Scientific Council of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan approved “Economic Growth” as a textbook. The book was published with financial support of PASHA Bank - a leading corporate bank of Azerbaijan. The book can be used as a textbook for research works and teaching economic growth and economic development subjects at universities. Also, those involved in the formation of economic policy can refer to the book. By covering theoretical, conceptual and practical issues, the book "Economic Growth" reveals the essence of economic growth at the macro, meso and micro levels and provides relevant recommendations.

The book notes that the role of investment in economic growth is to some extent. In the long run, the driver of economic growth is not investment, labor and natural resources, but productivity. It is the productivity that can allow ensuring more economic growth with the same factor of production. If an economy functions efficiently, it will attract both investments and skilled labor force. For this purpose, such factors as stability, quality of institutions, human capital, infrastructure, favorable business environment, access to markets, participation in global value chains, cultural codes triggering development, cultural and ethnic diversity, identity, narratives, behavioral economics, and social capital must be taken into account. Each country can ensure economic growth by creating own “bouquet” from the factors listed above.

The presentation of the book "Economic Growth" has started in foreign and local think tanks and universities, as well as in international organizations and business circles.
