The training, scheduled from October 7 to 11, has gathered 25 representatives from over 10 state institutions.

The program covers various topics, including real sector analysis, demand and supply dynamics in economics, inflation, price deflators, balance of payments, fiscal and monetary sector analysis, intersectoral relations, and forecasting methods.

The training is led by Norbert Funke, Director of the IMF's Caucasus, Central Asia, and Mongolia Regional Capacity Development Center (CCAMTAC), alongside economists Nurdaulet Abilov and Aliya Uskenbayeva.

In his opening remarks, Vusal Gasimli, Executive director of CAERC, highlighted the significance of this training for the public sector, emphasizing that macroeconomic analysis plays a crucial role in shaping economic policy. He noted that the training would provide new perspectives for participants and that the knowledge gained would benefit the country's economy.

During the opening session, Norbert Funke, regional director of IMF expressed his gratitude to CAERC and Azerbaijan for their cooperation and hospitality. He underscored the importance of the training in developing consistent macroeconomic forecasts, diagnosing economic challenges, exploring solution options, and conducting scenario analysis for economic policy formulation.
