The book "Turkic States Economy" was presented at the meeting of OTS in Istanbul
The book "Turkic States Economy" prepared by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) together with the Secretariat of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) was presented at the 14th meeting of the Working Group on Economic Cooperation held in Istanbul, Turkey.
The book was presented by Ayhan Satıcı, the head of the Turkic World Research Center (TWRC), which operates under the CAERC. He said that the purpose of writing this book is to summarize the positive economic trends in Turkish states in a single economic source. Also, in the book, the geo-economic and geo-political positions of the Turkish states, which are strengthening in the region within the framework of the OTS, were reviewed from both a multilateral and a bilateral perspective.
It should be noted that the book "Turkic States Economy" consists of two parts. The first part contains general information about the economy of Turkic states, and the second part contains specific information about the economic indicators of each country recorded in the last 10 years. Data are grouped in several directions. Thus, in the book, the economy of the countries of the Turkic world was analyzed at the macro and micro level. A comparative approach to the mechanism of cooperation in the Turkic world has been demonstrated, the role of each independent state in the Turkic world has been examined, as well as opportunities and development prospects in the Turkic world have been presented. In the book, the factors affecting the multilateral trade of the Turkic states were approached based on the "Gravity Model", and the impact of the Zangezur Corridor on the perspective and mutual economic relations of the countries of Central Asia and the South Caucasus region was analyzed. The analysis of foreign direct investment and trade dynamics in the Turkic world was also carried out with reference to the "Graph theory". In addition, the institutional foundations of the economic cooperation of the Turkic states were examined in the context of the "Turkic world 2040 vision".
More than 35 well-known scientists from seven Turkic states in the field of economic research participated in the writing of the book "Turkic States Economy". The scientific editor of the book is executive director of CAERC, doctor of economic sciences, professor Vusal Gasimli.
