Vusal Gasimli, Executive director of the CAERC met with the executives of ESRI
Vusal Gasimli, Executive director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, met with Sohail Elabd, director of international strategies of the Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI), and Ahmed Avadi, the group leader of the institution.
V. Gasimli informed the guests about the activities of CAERC and the projects implemented. The meeting also discussed the possibilities of applying geographic information systems (GIS), which is the main activity of ESRI, in industry and other areas of the economy. Ways to benefit from GIS for economic analysis, scenario modeling and long-term forecasting; discussed the advantages of using GIS to integrate economic data with spatial information to better understand economic trends and regional differences. Issues of future cooperation between institutions were also in focus.
During the meeting, the importance of the projects implemented by CAERC was specially emphasized. It was noted that work on the preparation of the geo-economic interactive map of the Turkic world is currently being continued.
The meeting was attended by Rashad Huseynov, the Deputy executive director of CAERC, Ayaz Museyibov, the advisor to the Executive director, Ayhan Satici, Head of the Turkic World Research Center (TWRC), Joshgun Jafarov, the chief advisor of the Monitoring and evaluation division, as well as Rauf Amanov, the founder of "Caucasus Geo Survey", ESRI's partner in Azerbaijan also participated in the meeting.
