Vusal Gasimli, “Asian Countries Support Zangezur Corridor”
While participating in the international conference on “Central and South Asia: Regional Connectivity. Challenges and Opportunities” held in Uzbekistan, Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication Vusal Gasimli made a report.
In his report titled “Zangezur Corridor: Geo-Economic Revolution”, V.Gasimli stated that Zangezur Corridor increases diversification capacity along the West-East route. That is why Southeast and Central Asian countries, as well as the European Union, are interested in the realization of the Zangezur Corridor. At the same time, Zangezur Corridor plays a significant role in the diversification of the North-South route. Along with being short, the corridor is also important in terms of saving time and resources.
Among the participants of the conference was the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Foreign Ministers and High Representatives of Central and South Asian countries, heads of influential international and regional organizations, global financial institutions and companies, including leading research and analytical centers.
