Inauguration ceremony of the "Startup School 2" project was held
"Startup School 2 - AI for Green Solidarity," jointly implemented by the "Enterprise Azerbaijan" portal operated by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence, and the Ozman Center for Entrepreneurship of the University of Nevada, USA, held its official inauguration ceremony. Heads of organizing institutions, representatives of state institutions, international level mentors representing individual countries, and project experts participated in the ceremony, which took place online.
During the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Vusal Gasimli, Executive director of CAERC, greeted the participants and emphasized the importance of the "Startup School 2 - AI for Green Solidarity" project. He noted the significance of mutual research in artificial intelligence and green technologies, especially in an era of serious environmental challenges. Gasimli highlighted that organizing the next program of the "Startup School" project under the motto "Artificial Intelligence for the Sake of Green Solidarity" serves this purpose.
Matanat Musayeva, head of the "Enterprise Azerbaijan" portal and project coordinator, provided information about the presented projects and shared relevant statistical data.
Subsequently, details were provided about the trainings to be organized within the project and the competition that will be held at the final stage.
Representatives from various organizations including the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, Innovation and Digital Development Agency, KOBIA, "Azerkosmos," State Agency for Renewable Energy Sources, State Employment Agency, Education Student Loan Fund, Tamiz Shaher OJSC, and Agrarian Innovation Center participated in the opening ceremony. They expressed confidence in the successful completion of the project.
It's worth noting that 121 projects from different countries around the world - Canada, Finland, Germany, the Republic of South Africa, Poland, the Czech Republic, Kazakhstan, and Turkey - applied for participation in the competition. Teams from prestigious universities in foreign countries are also among these projects. Universities such as Duisburg Essen in Germany, University of Calgary in Canada, Tampere in Finland, CZU Prague in the Czech Republic, UNISA in South Africa, University of Economics and Human Sciences in Poland, Inha University in South Korea, and Hacettepe, Koç, and OSTİM universities in Turkey will learn and compete with their counterparts within the framework of the "Startup School 2" project.
Another notable aspect of the upcoming competition is the expanded geography of local projects. This year, students from universities in Sumgait, Nakhchivan, Lankaran, and Azerbaijan State Agrarian University located in Ganja also joined the project, in addition to the capital.
