Financial management was taught at "Startup School 2"
Within the framework of the project "Startup School 2 - AI for Green Solidarity" implemented jointly by the "Enterprise Azerbaijan" portal operated by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication with the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence and the Ozmen Entrepreneurship Center of the University of Nevada, USA. a training was organized. The current training dedicated to the subject of "Financial Management" was conducted by Dr. Dr. Melike Aktaş Bozkurt passed.
M. Bozkurt said that the main goal of the course is to form the necessary skills for students to start a business with minimal external funding and other resources, as well as to equip them with the necessary tools. He talked about ways to turn startups into businesses without a lot of capital in the early stages and how to overcome the difficulties of starting this business in general. M. Aktaş explained ways to increase capital and noted the importance of strategic financial planning in achieving organizational goals.
In the training, the participants received information about various aspects that are important to effectively manage the finances of any company. Emphasis is placed on understanding and balancing key financial objectives such as profitability, liquidity, efficiency and stability.
Forecasting methodologies were explored during the session and the “TAM SAM SOM” model for market analysis was presented. Emphasizing the importance of accuracy and comprehensiveness in forecasting future financial results, the principles of financial forecasting were mentioned. The importance of making informed decisions in financial management to optimize the company's activity and ensure its continuous growth was emphasized.
At the end, the participants were introduced to "Pro Forma Financial Statements" and learned the methods of constructing sales forecasts, which are important for evaluating the revenue channels of new enterprises.
