
The publication on Karabakh and East Zangazur economic regions is published in two languages
The Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) has prepared a publication entitled “Karabakh and East Zangazur Economic Regions of Azerbaijan” in two languages – Azerbaijani and English. The publication provides maps of the territory, population and composition of the population of Karabakh and East Zangazur economic regions. At the same time, it demonstrates the schemes of transport infrastructure: the main highways, existing railways and those that under restoration, as well as airports. The document also describes mineral resources and opportunities of the mining industry in the economic regions of Karabakh and East Zangazur. The tourist map of the area covers both cultural tourism and ecotourism.
The publication presents the projected structure of arable land in East Zangazur and shows that these territories have opportunities for the production of grain, tobacco, potatoes, melons, gourds and vegetables, fruits, berries, grapes, and fodder plants. At the same time, the structure of perennial crops and crop production are presented separately for each region.
