The September issue of "Exports Review" has been presented

According to the september issue of the "Export Review" presented by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication in January-July 2022, Azerbaijan's exports amounted to 26,2 billion USD, 1,9 billion USD in the non-oil sector. Exports in the non-oil sector increased by 19% compared to the first eight months of 2021.

During January-August 2022, the export of chemical industry products increased by times, aluminum and aluminum products by 66%, ferrous metals and their products by 21.1%.

The statistical value of the joint export of agricultural and agro-industrial products was 537.8 million USD. Fruit and vegetable products exported during January-August 2022 accounted for 93.2% of the group of agricultural products. During the corresponding period of 2022, the export of fruits and nuts increased by 25.1% to 227.7 million USD, and the export of vegetables amounted to 180.5 million USD. The export of tobacco and industrial substitutes of tobacco, which has a share of 3.4% in the structure of agricultural products, increased by 2.7 times compared to the corresponding period of last year and amounted to 15 million USD.

The added value created by agro-industrial products, which occupy a significant place in the composition of non-oil and gas exports, increased by 9% compared to the corresponding period of last year. The export of tea, which has a share of 8.6% in the structure of agro-industrial products, increased by 53.9% and amounted to 8.5 million US dollars. Also, vegetable and animal fats and oils, which are considered the driving force of the mentioned industrial products, increased by 8.4% and reached the level of 20.9 million US dollars.

In the list of non-oil sector goods exported during January-August 2022, cotton wool (143.4 million USD) was the first. In this list, carbamide (142.2 million USD) is in the second place, and tomato (134,2 million USD) is in the third place.

In January-August 2022, 527.6 million USD worth of non-oil sector goods were exported to the Russian Federation, 491.1 million USD to Turkey, 126.9 million USD to Georgia, 117.7 million USD to the Swiss Confederation and 60.1 million USD to the United States.

Exports for August 2022 amounted to 3.7 billion US dollars. Exports in the non-oil amounted 204 million USD. During July 2022, exports of food products increased by 21.5% to 46.6 million US dollars, and exports of non-food products amounted 157.4 million US dollars.

In July 2022, the Russian Federation (65.5 million USD) topped the list of countries where the largest part of non-oil goods are exported. Turkey (28.9 million USD) was second and Georgia (19.3 million USD) took the third place in this list.

In July 2022, carbamide (20.3 million USD) was the first, gold (16.1 million USD) was the second, and peach fruit (12.3 million USD) was the third in the list of exported non-oil sector goods in July 2022.

"Export Review" has compiled a ranking of both non-governmental and govermental exporters in the non-oil sector in January-August 2022.

The top ten companies in the ranking of non-governmental exporters in January-August 2022 are the following: “MKT Industrial Commerce LLC”, Representation of “Azerbaijan International Mining Company Limited” in the Republic of Azerbaijan,,  “STP Aluminium” MMC, “Baku Steel Company” MMC,  “P-Aqro” MMC, “Almeyva”, “FoodCity Agropark” MMC, MMC, Shirinov Elvin Valeh oghlu, “Mors Trading” MMC, “Rose Servis” MMC.

The list of state-owned companies involved in export operations in the non-oil sector is headed by the SOCAR “Marketing and Economic Operations Department”. Next on this list are "Socar Polymer" LLC, "Azeraluminium" LLC, "AzerGold" CJSC, "Azerpambig Agricultural Industrial Complex" LLC, "Azerenergy" ATSC, "Azerbaijan Airlines" CJSC, "Azeripak" LLC, "Geophysics and Geology Department", Nakhchivan MR State Energy Service.

In January-August 2022,  Azercosmos OJSC exported services (satellite telecommunication services and optical satellite services  worth 17.2 million USD) to 36 countries of the world. Azercosmos income from service exports made up 83 percent of its total income. In July 2022, "Azercosmos" exported services worth 2.1 million USD to 33 countries of the world.

In January-August 2022, the top five exports of satellite telecommunication and optical satellite services are the United Kingdom with 4.4 million USD, France with 3.5 million USD, Luxembourg with 2.9 million USD, UAE with 1.6 million USD and Pakistan with 956.7 thousand USD.

In August 2022, the total cost of operations made by foreign citizens through bank cards in our country amounted to 214,6 million AZN. In January-August 2022, foreigners made transactions worth 1.5 billion AZN using bank cards.

The total amount of export orders submitted to the Azexport.az portal in January-August 2022 amounted to 321,2 million USD. In August 2022, the total amount of export orders submitted to the Azexport.az portal amounted to 32.8 million US dollars. In July 2022, the list of most ordered goods from Azexport.az portal apple, persimmon, cottonseed oil, hazelnut kernel, sunflower oil, flour, corn oil, tobacco, medical grade, hazelnut shell and etc. It should be noted that from January 2017 to August 31, 2022 (during 68 months) the value of export orders received by the Azexport.az portal from 145 countries amounted to 3,12 billion US dollars.

At the same time, according to the Export Review, during March 2022, the total cost of the non-oil export implemented through the One-Stop-Shop Export Support Center was 24,7 million US dollars.
