The Reforms Review Is Dedicated to Current Year’s International Rankings of Azerbaijan
A special issue of the Reforms Review of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication is dedicated to improved positions of Azerbaijan in international rankings due to reforms implemented by President Ilham Aliyev.
The report demonstrates that Azerbaijan has moved 6 steps forward in Doing Business 2020 and is 28th among 190 countries. In the Economic Freedom Index 2021 prepared by the Heritage Foundation, Azerbaijan ranks 38th out of 172 countries. Azerbaijan has moved up 15 positions in the International Telecommunication Union's (ITU) Global Cyber Security Index 2020, announced in 2021. According to the KidsRights Index 2021 of the KidsRights Foundation and the Erasmus Institute Rotterdam, Azerbaijan has moved up three places compared to 2020. According to the results of this year’s survey of UNESCAP "Readiness assessment for cross-border paperless trade" Project, Azerbaijan has maintained leadership in the region.
