
The Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication and the Media Development Agency of Azerbaijan are launching training for journalists
The Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication of the Republic of Azerbaijan (CAERC) and the Media Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (MEDIA), are launching a two-day summer school training for journalists specializing in business and economics on the eve of July 22 – National Press Day of Azerbaijan. In order to declare 2022 the “Year of Shusha” by President Ilham Aliyev and contribute to the work done in this context, the training is organized in the city of Shusha, the capital of culture in Azerbaijan.
On the first day of the training, Vusal Gasimli, Executive Director of CAERC, mentioned that one direction of the successful reforms carried out under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev is the development of free and independent media. In particular, business and economic journalism plays a major role in contributing to the formation of public opinion, as well as in the development of the competition mechanism, which is the main attribute of civil society and a market economy.
Ahmad Ismayilov, Executive Director of MEDIA, spoke about the importance of specializing of journalists in the economic sphere, emphasized that the importance of the exchange of ideas within the framework of the training for the professional activities of media representatives, as well as the role of economic journalism in the development of business, society and state relations.
The representatives of the Central Bank, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population, the State Customs Committee, the State Tax Service, the State Employment Agency, as well as the CAERC attend the training.
About 30 TV and online media representatives participated in the two-day training.
