Discussion of the general report on the goal of "Creative and innovative society" on the monitoring and evaluation of the first half of the current year within the framework of the goals set for 2023 of the "Socio-economic development strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2022-2026" in the "Innovation" Working group was held.

Farid Ahmadov, chairman of the Working Group, Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport, speaking at the meeting held in video format, informed about the strategy and spoke about the work done by the ministry for the purpose of "Creative and innovative society".

Rashad Huseynov, deputy executive director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, informed about the process and methodology of monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the Strategy, as well as the regulations of working groups. He said that the purpose of monitoring and evaluating the measures taken under the Strategy is to conduct result-based work and ensure the implementation of measures.

Agil Asadov, the head of the Strategic Planning Department of the CAERC, the deputy chairman of the Working Group, presented the progress reports prepared for the first half of 2023 on the monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of the measures provided for in the Strategy.

Then, the report was discussed at the meeting, proposals were made and next steps were determined.

In addition to the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport and CAERC, the "Innovation" Working Group includes the Ministries of Economy, Science and Education, Foreign Affairs, Finance, Labor and Social Protection of the Population, Justice, Defense Industry, Agriculture, Culture and Energy, as well as the Central Bank, State Customs Committee, State Committee for Work with Diaspora, State Agency for Service to Citizens and Social Innovation under the President, State Water Resources Agency, "Melioration and Water Management" OJSC, State Migration Service, State Border Service, Intellectual Property Agency and relevant department of ANAS and heads of departments are represented.

It should be noted that 8 working groups have been established in order to ensure the full, timely and effective implementation of the measures provided for in the "2022-2026 socio-economic development strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan" and to coordinate the activities of the relevant state bodies.
