On the eve of Victory Day, CAERC presented a reform review on the topic of "Investment in Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur"
The Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication has dedicated a special edition of reform review to the topic of "Investment in Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur."
The purpose of presenting this review is to inform local and foreign investors about the investment opportunities created by large-scale restoration and reconstruction efforts in the region, as well as the potential in key sectors such as agriculture, industry, energy, and tourism.
To reach a wider audience, the “Investment in Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur” review, prepared in English, consists of five main sections. The first section covers the general overview of Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur, alongside information on the state funds allocated to this region between 2020-2024 and the new management model implemented.
The second section focuses on the business environment in Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur, detailing the incentives and other benefits offered by the state to entrepreneurial entities.
The third section includes information on the transportation and communication infrastructure created in the region and the ongoing infrastructure projects. The fourth section mainly provides information on the potential areas for development in the region. It highlights the opportunities created in the "Aghdam Industrial Park" located in the Karabakh economic region and the "Araz Valley Economic Zone" Industrial Park in Eastern Zangezur, including incentives offered to the parks' residents and priority investment areas.
The final section outlines the future prospects of Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur, along with the strategic vision foreseen within the "First State Program on the Great Return to the Liberated Territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan."
The “Investment in Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur” review serves as a valuable and informative resource on the region's development potential and investment opportunities for business entities, potential investors, and decision-makers.
Notably, given the ongoing restoration and construction work in the region, the information presented in the review is planned to be periodically updated.
