The "II International Conference of Leading Think Tanks of Turkic States" is being held in Baku, jointly organized by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) and the Secretariat of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).

Dedicated to the theme "Strengthening Economic Cooperation within the Organization of Turkic States through Sustainable Consultations and Joint Research," the conference aims to deepen integration among Turkic states amid global economic transformations, establish joint research platforms, and reinforce institutional cooperation.

At the opening ceremony of the conference, Professor Vusal Gasimli, Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, delivered a presentation highlighting the economic potential and cooperation prospects of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS). During his address, key priorities were emphasized, including developing trade and investment ties among member states, enhancing logistical capabilities, increasing the significance of the Middle Corridor, utilizing financial and export potential more effectively, and promoting digital transformation and innovation.

Following this, Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States; Musa Gasimli, Deputy Speaker of the Milli Majlis; and Kürşad Zorlu, Deputy Chairman of Türkiye's ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party) and Head of the General Directorate for Relations with Turkic States, delivered speeches.

As a high-level international platform, the event brings together representatives of state institutions, heads of leading think tanks, academic circles, representatives of international organizations, financial institutions, and the business community. The objective of the conference is not only to organize academic and analytical discussions, but also to contribute to the formation of long-term research networks across the Turkic world, the development of continuous dialogue among experts, and the evidence-based support of policy decisions.

The conference program includes three panel sessions on the following themes: "The Role of the Middle Corridor in Accelerating Regional Integration and Infrastructure-Led Development," "Assessing Trade and Economic Relations Among OTS Member States: Current Trends and Untapped Opportunities," and "Innovation for Sustainable Development: Policy Frameworks and Economic Transformation." Heads of more than 30 think tanks, prominent scholars, and international experts from nearly 10 countries will address the panel sessions.
