Gunay Guliyeva, Head of the Economic analysis division of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) made a presentation on “economic impacts of an investment in transportation infrastructure within the Zangazur corridor” at the International Conference “the Singapore Economic Review Conference (SERC) 2024” held in the Republic of Singapore. The importance of the Zangazur corridor for the countries of the region was emphasized in the presentation and calculations on the added value of the investment in this project in the economy of Azerbaijan in the coming years were brought to the attention.

The main speakers of the conference were Professor Richard Sandor of the University of Chicago and Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore Heng Svi Keat. In addition, professors from the University of Singapore, Harvard University (USA), Australian National University, Korea University, Kyoto University (Japan), Tokyo University (Japan), Peking University (China), Cornell University (USA) and other prestigious educational institutions and rector of the Asian Development Bank Institute Tetsushi Sonobe attended the conference.

The selected articles of the conference are intended to be published in the Journal “the Singapore Economic Review (SER)” (Singapore Economic Review). The Singapore Economic Review (SER) was founded in 1956 by “Malayan Economic Review”, one of the oldest economic journals in Asia, dedicated to the publication of high-quality theoretical and scientific articles.
