A meeting was held with the representatives of the Coordination Office of the Standing Committee for Economic and Trade Cooperation (COMCEC) of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) at the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication. At the meeting, the deputy executive director of CAERC, Ramil Huseyn, gave detailed information to the guests about the Center's activities, including monitoring and evaluation activities, portals operating under the Center.
Coordination Office expert Yunus Kayish and associate professor Ali Aycı spoke about the report they prepared on "Development of e-commerce in OIC member countries". They said that based on the experiences of developed countries in the field of e-commerce, the situation in this field was studied in Islamic countries and the results were included in the report. The guests emphasized that the achievements and development prospects of Azerbaijan in this field are important for the OIC.
Later, the head of the "azexport.az" portal, Aykhan Gadashov, and the head of the Digital Trade Hub, Ismet Mehraliyeva, gave detailed information about the Center's innovative projects and answered questions. The guests said that the experience of "azexport.az" can be a good example for many OIC member countries, and this experience will be included in the prepared report.
The meeting also discussed the application of digital solutions in terms of the development of e-commerce, the development of human capital in this field, the exchange of experience, the main challenges and perspectives.
