A meeting was held with the representatives of the International Monetary Fund at CAERC
A meeting was held at the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) with Gustavo Ramirez, economist of the Middle East and Central Asia Department of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and Martin Fukac, macroeconomist of the Regional Development Center for the Caucasus, Central Asia, and Mongolia.
At the meeting, Rashad Huseynov, Deputy executive director of CAERC, provided information about the Center's activities in monitoring and evaluating Azerbaijan's social and economic development strategies, the goals of state programs, and their implementation. He also informed the guests about the economic and social reforms being implemented in the country and the activities of the commission created to improve the business and investment environment.
Gunay Guliyeva, Head of the Economic analysis division of CAERC, emphasized the importance of the training conducted by the International Monetary Fund in economic analysis and the benefits of continuous participation.
Vusala Jafarova, head of the Turkic World Research Center, discussed the research conducted by CAERC in macro-fiscal analysis and forecasting, as well as the applied econometric models.
Gustavo Ramirez, the IMF representative, expressed the institution's readiness to cooperate in economic reforms, diversification, economic transformation, and new development initiatives aimed at achieving macroeconomic stability on the global stage.
During the discussion, international experience in investment efficiency and economic growth was explored, along with prospects for successful cooperation in economic reforms.
