Startup School continues its trainings by foreign experts
Classes by foreign experts continue successfully at the "StartUp School" which is created jointly with the Enterprise Azerbaijan portal of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication and the "Ozmen Entrepreneurship Center" of the University of Nevada, USA.
The "StartUp School" participants showed interest in “Bootstrapping Strategies” training by the Ph.D., director of the "Entrepreneurship and Leadership Center", OSTIM Technical University Melike Aktaş Bozkurt.
Ms. Malika noted that the main goal of this course is to equip students with the necessary skills and tools, giving them the opportunity to start and develop a business with minimal external funding or resources. He delivered an interesting lecture on how to be resourceful, creative, and innovative to overcome the challenges of starting a business without huge capital in the early stages of the startup.
Then they were given tasks for the next lesson:
1. Market research (e.g. customer interviews, surveys, online tools)
2. Marketing (e.g. content marketing, social media, email marketing)
3. Financial forecasting (forecasting income and expenses)
4. Financial management (e.g. cost reduction, cash flow management)
It should be noted that 9 projects (teams) selected at the end of the trainings will participate in the mentoring program at the Incubation Center of SABAH.Lab for 2 weeks. Special experts will determine the winners of the first 3 places among the projects.
The operator of the www.enterpriseazerbaijan.gov.az portal is the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication. The portal was created according to the Decree of President Ilham Aliyev dated September 19, 2018 "On additional measures to support competitive domestic production in the non-oil sector".
