Non-oil exports increased by 44%, amounting to $ 2.4 billion
According to the December issue of the "Export Review", during the first 11 months of 2021, Azerbaijan’s export amounted to 19.8 billion dollars, 2.4 billion in the non-oil sector. The non-oil export increased by 720.8 million US dollars or 44 percent compared to the same period in 2020.
During the first 11 months of 2021, fruit and vegetable production increased by $ 258,800 compared to the same period last year and amounted to $ 549.8 million. During the relevant period, non-oil exports of cotton yarn soared by 3.4 times, ferrous metals and their products by 2.3 times, chemical products by 2.7 times, cotton fiber by 70.2%, sugar by 29.8%, aluminum and aluminum products by 69.3%.
In the period of normalization, in November, exports amounted to 2.95 billion US dollars. Exports in the non-oil sector increased by 58.7%, reaching $ 307.2 million. In November 2021, exports of food products increased by 1.6% and amounted to $ 98.9 million USD, whereas exports of non-food products increased by 2.2 times and reached $ 208.3 million USD compared to the same month last year.
