
Non-oil Export Has Increased by 40,9%
According to the October issue of the Export Review, during the first 9 months of 2021, the total export of Azerbaijan amounted to 14.6 billion US dollars with 1.8 billion US dollars in the non-oil sector. Non-oil export has increased by 525.3 million US dollars or 40.9% in comparison with the corresponding period of 2020. In the first 9 months of 2021, with 398.9 million US dollars, fruits and vegetables had the main share in the non-oil export. During the mentioned period, the share of cotton yarn in the non-oil export has increased by 3.3 times, ferrous metals and products made of them – by 2.3 times, chemical industry products – by 2.1 times, sugar – by 2.1 times, cotton fiber – by 80.8%, aluminum and products made of it – by 55.8%.
In the period of normalization, the export in September amounted to 1.7 billion US dollars. With a 75.2% increase, the volume of the non-oil export amounted to 224.7 million US dollars. During September 2021, food export has increased by 34.5% in comparison with the same month of 2020 and reached 46.2 million US dollars, and non-food exports have increased by 90% reaching 178.5 million US dollars.
