The 2026 edition of the "Transport Review" has been published by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC).

Prepared in Azerbaijani and English, the publication reflects indicators by the transport sector and types of transport, the dynamics of transit freight transport across transport modes and main transport corridors, as well as implemented and targeted infrastructure development projects. The review presents a comparative analysis of the 2024–2025 indicators regarding the specific weight of the transport sector in macroeconomic indicators, import and export metrics of transport services, passenger and freight transportation and turnover via road, rail, air, metro, maritime, and pipeline transport modes, as well as revenues generated from this field.

The review, conceptualized by Vusal Gasimli, Executive Director of CAERC, Doctor of Economic Sciences, and Professor, also covers measures implemented to improve the infrastructure provision of individual transport modes. In particular, it highlights the results of works carried out within the framework of the "State Program for the Improvement of Transport Infrastructure in Baku City and Surrounding Areas for 2025–2030," alongside information on digitalization, micromobility, and tramway lines.

The "Transport Review" was prepared to promote the results and support the implementation of measures envisaged in the "State Program for the Improvement of Transport Infrastructure in Baku City and Surrounding Areas for 2025–2030," approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated January 30, 2025, and the "Action Plan for 2024–2026 on increasing the transit potential of international transport corridors passing through the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan and promoting transit freight transportation," approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated November 23, 2023.

The "Transport Review 2026" was prepared by Agil Asadov, Head of Department at CAERC and Doctor of Economic Sciences, and Arzu Suleymanov, Head of Sector and Doctor of Philosophy in Economics. Rauf Agamirzayev, a transport expert, served as the consultant, and Elvira Zeynalova as the graphic designer.
