Teachers were trained jointly with Newcastle University of Great Britain at CAERC
Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) and Newcastle University of Great Britain organized a two-day workshop on teaching and learning strategy formulation for higher education teachers. The seminar was held at the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication as part of the British Council Creative Spark Higher Education Enterprise Programme, and Vusal Gasimli, Executive Director of CAERC opened the seminar by welcoming the participants. Representatives of Newcastle University, Fiona Whitehurst and Leigh Sear, discussed the development of appropriate teaching and learning strategies for educators working in the field of business and entrepreneurship. The teachers took part in group activities on topics such as designing teaching and learning techniques to engage student learners and establishing relationships with external stakeholders and presented their work to the seminar. An interactive exchange of ideas was held and a visit to the “One Stop Shop” was arranged on the second day in order that the representatives from Newcastle University and the teachers could learn more about support for exporting.
More than 10 teachers participated in the two days seminar from Azerbaijan Technical University, Baku Engineering University, Azerbaijan Architecture and Construction University, Azerbaijan State Economic University, Azerbaijan University of Culture and Arts, Dagestan State University.
End of the two-days seminar, with the presence of Project Manager, Elnur Aliyev, teachers of higher education who participated in the training were presented with a joint certificate of CAERC and Newcastle University.
