A meeting with representatives of the Asian Development Bank was held at the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication. (CAERC).

At the meeting, Rashad Huseynov, Deputy Executive Director of CAERC  informed the representatives of ADB about the activities of the Center. He informed about the main directions of the "Socio-economic development strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2022-2026" and the "I State Program for the Great Return to the territories freed from occupation of the Republic of Azerbaijan", as well as the role of the Center in their monitoring and evaluation. At the same time, he informed the guests about the economic and social reforms implemented in the country, the research conducted at the Center for the purpose of improving the business and investment environment. Rashad Huseynov particularly emphasized the importance of the participation of international development partners in the process of restoration of territories liberated from occupation. The importance of the technical support of the Asian Development Bank for the improvement of the process of monitoring and evaluation of programs, which is one of the main activities of the center, was noted.

During the discussion, international experience in the field of economic diversification and joining the country to the global value chain, as well as prospects of successful cooperation in the field of economic reforms were discussed.

The representative of the Asian Development Bank, Christian Rosbak, gave detailed information about the main directions of cooperation with Azerbaijan within the framework of the Country Partnership Strategy for 2024-2028. He also said that the institution he represents is interested and ready for cooperation in the field of economic reforms aimed at the formation of a green economy, access to the Middle Corridor, diversification of the economy, economic transformation, local and regional integration, and new development initiatives in the global arena.

The meeting was attended by Gunay Guliyeva, Deputy Head of the Economic Analysis Department of CAERC, Vusala Jafarova, Senior Advisor of the Strategic Planning Department, and Natig Panahli, Senior Advisor of the Public Relations Department, as well as Nail Valiyev, Chief Economic Specialist of the Regional Cooperation and Operations Coordination Department of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and operations. assistant Elvin Imanov also participated.
