Graduation ceremony of "Startup School" project of the "Enterprise Azerbaijan" portal was held
The first Graduation Day of the "Startup School" project jointly established by the "Enterprise Azerbaijan" portal of the Center for Analysis Economic Reforms and Communication and Ozman Entrepreneurship Center of the University of Nevada, USA was held. State officials and government representatives, parliamentarians, startup ecosystem activists, guests from foreign countries, representatives of the private sector and other persons participated in the ceremony held on this occasion.
Vusal Gasimli, Executive director of CAERC, Mehmet Serkan Tosun, director of Ozmen Entrepreneurship Center and Matanat Musayeva, head of "Enterprise Azerbaijan" portal spoke at the official opening of the graduation day. The speakers gave detailed information about the project and noted that the startups submitted to the competition were successful.
At the ceremony, the authors of the projects submitted to the competition and reached the last stage made presentations about their startups. Based on these presentations, the jury determined the winners. Based on this assessment, the teams "Abroadventure" (in the social field), "Metatask" (in the educational field), and "E-Legal" (in the legal field) were awarded the first place. President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences Isa Habibbayli, Chairman of the State Committee on Family, Women and Children's Problems Bahar Muradova, Chairman of the Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship Committee of the Milli Majlis Tahir Mirkishili presented diplomas and awards to the winners of the first three places. Also, the winner of the "Best Idea" nomination was determined. "Akinci" team (in the field of green technologies) stood out from its competitors and became the first in this category. Natig Hasanov, the first deputy chairman of the Board of Directors of KOBIA, presented the award to the owner of this place. In general, all graduates of the "Startup School" were awarded with certificates of international participation.
At the ceremony, Vusal Gasimli, the executive director of CAERC, gave certificates to the trainers of "Startup School" - Matt Westfield (USA), Pavel Pietrasienski (Poland), Melike Aktaş Bozkurt (Turkey), Vugar Rustamli (Azerbaijan). In his closing speech, the head of the center said that the "Startup School" project has achieved its goal and made unique contributions to the startup ecosystem.
It should be noted that the "Startup School" project aims to support the development of the startup ecosystem in Azerbaijan, to accelerate the integration of local startups into global trends, to provide young startups with theoretical and practical knowledge to develop innovations, to turn the ideas of more young people into reality, and to instill innovative entrepreneurial spirit and culture in young people. , was established to help bring startups to the attention of local and foreign investors and thus stimulate the growth of small and medium-sized businesses.
