
In Azerbaijan, exports in the non-oil sector increased by 17% in 9 months
According to the October issue of the "Export Review" presented by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, Azerbaijan's total exports in January-September 2022 amounted to 29.5 billion US dollars, exports in the non-oil sector amounted to 2.1 billion US dollars. Exports in the non-oil sector increased by 17% compared to the first nine months of 2021.
During January-September 2022, the export of chemical industry products increased by 2.4 times, the export of aluminum and products made from it increased by 38%, and the export of ferrous metals and products made from them increased by 20.7%.
The statistical value of the joint export of agricultural and agro-industrial products amounted to 591.5 million US dollars. Fruit and vegetable products exported during January-September 2022 accounted for 92.9% of the group of agricultural products.The added value created by agro-industrial products, which occupies a significant place in the composition of non-oil and gas exports, increased by 17.6% compared to the corresponding period of last year.
Exports in September 2022 amounted to 3.3 billion US dollars, and exports in the non-oil sector amounted to 231.2 million US dollars. During September 2022, exports of food products increased by 7.4% to 49.7 million US dollars, and exports of non-food products increased by 1.7% to 181.6 million US dollars.
