Azexport Portal Brings Local Art Supplies to International Markets
The Azexport portal, operated by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), continues its efforts to expand non-oil exports and support local producers in accessing global markets. As part of these efforts, Ayxan Gadashov, Head of the Azexport portal, held a meeting with local entrepreneur Javid Mehraliyev, who produces art supplies.
The main focus of the meeting was the realization of the export potential of locally produced “Dammar” varnish, fir varnish, artists’ varnish, as well as oil-based thinner and other specialized art materials, alongside meeting the needs of the domestic market.
Based on the agreements reached during the discussions, it was decided to facilitate the entry of these art products into international markets through leading global e-commerce platforms such as “Amazon”, “Alibaba” and “eBay”, with the support of the Azexport portal. Concrete steps in this direction have already been initiated. Currently, relevant measures are being taken to register the products on the aforementioned global platforms, address international logistics arrangements, and present the products to foreign buyers.
It should be noted that the integration of these products into global e-commerce networks will make an important contribution both to stimulating local production and to diversifying Azerbaijan’s non-oil export portfolio with new and specialized products. The Azexport portal, which regularly analyzes the export opportunities of various sectors, continues to provide comprehensive support to local producers in joining global value chains. Registration on the portal is free of charge, and no commission is charged on sales.
