Tarana Salifova

Advisor to the Executive director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication of the Republic of Azerbaijan


She was born on November 20, 1986 in the Gazakh district of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Education

In 2004-2008, bachelor's degree in history from Baku State University and graduated with honors.

In 2008-2010, master's degree  at the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University and graduated with honors.

In 2019-2023, she received a second higher education in economics at the Azerbaijan State University of Economics.

In 2016-2019, she was a doctoral student at the Scientific Research Institute of Economic Reforms of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, specializing in the economy of technological innovations, and in 2021 he defended his dissertation for the Ph.D. program.

Pedagogical activity

In 2020-2022, she worked as a teacher of the Department of International Trade, Logistics and Marketing of Azerbaijan Technical University.

From 2022, she teaches the subjects "Research methods" and "Academic writing and research methods" in the Business Management (MBA) and SABAH graduate groups of Azerbaijan Technical University.

She is the author of more than 25 scientific and journalistic articles and theses published in local and international press.

Labor activity

In 2011-2015, senior specialist and senior researcher at the Scientific Research Institute of Economic Reforms of the Ministry of Economy.

In 2015-2022, in the Scientific Research Institute of Economic Reforms of the Ministry of Economy, he was the head of the Department of Sustainable Development of Regions and the scientific secretary of the Institute.

In 2022-2023, leading researcher at the Scientific Research Institute of Economic Reforms of the Ministry of Economy.

From April to September 2023, she worked as the head of the Socio-economic programs monitoring sector of the Monitoring and evaluation division of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, and as the head of the Monitoring and evaluation division from September to August 2023.

In August 2024, she was appointed as an Advisor to the Executive director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication.

She speaks Azerbaijani, English and Russian languages.

She is married and has a child.
