
The next meeting of the Working Group on "Green Energy Space" was held
The latest meeting of the "Green Energy Space" Working Group discussed the status of implementing relevant measures within the 2023 goals outlined in the "Socio-economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2022-2026."
Chaired by Deputy Minister of Energy Elnur Soltanov, the meeting provided updates on activities related to the directions and goals of the "Green Energy Space" as outlined in the Strategy document. Discussions covered various areas, including improving electricity supply in the distribution network, promoting the activity of independent suppliers in the electric power system, expanding the renewable energy infrastructure, creating an information system in this area, hydrogen production, greenhouse gas inventory, carbon sequestration in the energy sector, and ensuring energy efficiency. The meeting also solicited opinions and suggestions from group members.
Discussions included considerations for actions and goals to be implemented in the coming years according to the Strategy document, emphasizing their full, timely, effective, and unobstructed solutions.
It's worth noting that the "Green Energy Space" Working Group comprises representatives from the Ministry of Energy, the Center for Analysis and Communication of Economic Reforms, as well as other relevant institutions and organizations such as the Ministries of Economy, Ecology and Natural Resources, Agriculture, Digital Development and Transport, Finance, Emergency Situations, SOCAR, Central Bank, Azerbaijan Investment Holding, State Statistics Committee, State Urban Planning and Architecture Committee, State Customs Committee, Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, "Azersu," "Melioration and Water Management," "Azerenergy," "Azerishig," and "Azeristiliktehizat" OJSCs.
