Vusal Gasimli Met with the Rector of Hungary's University of Pannonia

Professor Vusal Gasimli, Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), met with a delegation led by Professor Janos Abonyi, Rector of the University of Pannonia, Hungary.

Professor Vusal Gasimli provided the guests with detailed information on CAERC's activities, noting that the Center currently monitors and evaluates the implementation of 25 strategic documents, applies project management modules, and contributes to the improvement of program management in the country. He highlighted that the monitoring and evaluation of state programs in Azerbaijan are conducted through digital platforms, utilizing geographic information technologies, video surveillance systems, and artificial intelligence. As a result, decision-making is data-driven, and program management has become more transparent and results-oriented. He further emphasized that the digitalization of monitoring mechanisms in Azerbaijan has significantly strengthened the capacity for operational oversight of state program execution. Additionally, books and scientific publications are prepared based on research conducted at CAERC. Vusal Gasimli noted the importance of the books "Economy of Turkic States" and "Middle Corridor: Analysis of Current Realities and Assessment of Prospects," which were published with the participation of Hungarian colleagues.

The Executive Director emphasized the established strategic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Hungary and stated that relations have deepened further within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States in recent years, expressing CAERC's interest in cooperating with the University of Pannonia.

Professor Janos Abonyi, Rector of the University of Pannonia, shared information about his institution and highlighted several areas for potential cooperation. He specifically emphasized the possibilities for joint research and book publications, as well as opportunities for the university's doctoral students to undergo internships at CAERC to study Azerbaijan's experience. The Rector remarked that Azerbaijan's achievements in the field of monitoring and evaluation are noteworthy and stated that studying this expertise would be highly beneficial.

The guests suggested that a public lecture by Professor Vusal Gasimli for master's and doctoral students at the University of Pannonia would contribute significantly to the development of this cooperation.

The meeting was also attended by Ramil Huseyn, Deputy Executive Director of CAERC, and Rashad Najafli, Deputy Head of the Economic Analysis Department. Representing the Hungarian side were Zoltan Birkner, President of the Board of Trustees of the University of Pannonia Foundation, József Goldfárth, Executive Director of "MVM Azerbaijan," and István Racz, a diplomat from the Hungarian Embassy.
