The Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Vusal Gasimli gave an interview to "İş Dünyamız" journal, a publication of the Turkey-Azerbaijan Businessmen and Industrialists Public Union (TÜİB).

In the interview titled "Economic development depends on intellectual potential," Vusal Gasimli shared his views on the analytical foundations of economic reforms implemented in Azerbaijan, monitoring and evaluation mechanisms of state programs, and new challenges of economic development.

The interview notes that CAERC conducts macro and microeconomic analyses to support the country's sustainable economic development, prepares recommendations based on analytical data, and provides medium and long-term development forecasts. The Center contributes to the effectiveness of the decision-making process by carrying out the monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of state programs.

The Professor stated that one of the main driving forces of economic development is the strengthening of human capital and intellectual potential. In this direction, the application of innovation, digitalization, data-driven management, and analytical approaches are evaluated as key elements of modern economic policy. In addition to providing information and analytical insights on current economic topics for the business community, economists, investors, and representatives of government agencies, "İş Dünyamız" journal also highlights the future development prospects of Azerbaijan-Turkey economic relations.

The journal keeps issues of investment cooperation, expansion of business ties, and strengthening of regional economic integration between the two countries in special focus.
