Vusal Gasimli Received Country Director of the Asian Development Bank
Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) Vusal Gasimli has a meeting with a recently appointed Country Director of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Azerbaijan Candice McDeigan.
During the meeting, information on recent economic reforms, Azerbaijan's leading position in Doing Business, and other international rankings were provided. The meeting featured a discussion on the national priorities of Azerbaijan for socio-economic development in 2030, the activities of the Center as monitoring and evaluation institute and communication measures.
At the same time, technical assistance and cooperation provided by the ADB in the development of analysis and forecasting models for macroeconomic research were highly appreciated.
At the meeting, the recently appointed Country Director of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Azerbaijan Candice McDeigan informed about the activities carried out by ADB in the direction of reconstruction of infrastructure and development of the financial sector in Azerbaijan. Research in the field of economic growth and diversification, practical training on the model of macroeconomic analysis and forecasting, and the preparation of economic reform documents in areas of strategic importance were proposed as areas for future cooperation.
Chief Economist of the Asian Development Bank Nail Valiyev, Head of the Economic Analysis and Analytical Information Department of CAERC Rashad Huseynov, and Head of Projects Department of CAERC Vusal Jafarova also participated at the meeting.
