The London Post: Azerbaijan - the Best Destination for Investment
The influential British newspaper The London Post published an article entitled Azerbaijan – The Best Destination for Investment.
The author of the article is Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, Doctor of Economics Vusal Gasimli. The article says that Azerbaijan tripled its economy during the last 15 years and aims to double its economy in the next ten years. According to the World Investment Report-2020, Azerbaijan is among the top 3 transition countries in terms of FDI inflows between 2014-2019. Azerbaijan is also among the top-10 reformer and was ranked 28th among 190 countries, according to the last Doing Business report by the World Bank. Azerbaijan created the first center of the Fourth Industrial revolution in the region and holds leading positions for the sustainable development index. A favorable business environment proposed privatization agenda, and opportunities for public-private partnership, as well as the restoration of Karabakh, will initiate a new wave of investments. New regional architecture formed by Azerbaijan, the restoration of communication, and economic relations has increased the investment attractiveness of the region
.
V.Gasimli concluded the article by stating that with low inflation and the stable national currency, one of the lowest levels of foreign debt-to-GDP ratio, and one of the highest level of strategic currency-to-GDP ratio, Azerbaijan created a welcoming environment and guarantees for foreign investments.
