Digital Trade Hub Presented at More than 20 Embassies and Consulates
The Digital Trade Hub (DTH) of the Center for Analysis and Communication of Economic Reforms (CAERC) has held presentations with the diplomatic missions and consulates of over 20 foreign countries operating in Azerbaijan. During the presentations, DTH Manager Nicat Asadli highlighted that the infrastructure has been fully established in line with the Presidential Decree on strengthening Azerbaijan’s position as a Digital Trade Hub and expanding foreign trade operations.
N. Asadli explained the capabilities of the DTH to the diplomatic corps. He noted that the mobile and electronic residency program, remote company registration and bank account opening, virtual office and assistant services, as well as cross-border solutions provided by the Digital Trade Hub, offer a unique opportunity for Azerbaijan to conduct paperless and borderless trade with partner countries.
The presentations were met with keen interest by diplomats and consuls. It was emphasized that Azerbaijan’s Digital Trade Hub is highly attractive to partner countries due to its capabilities in enabling cross-border, paperless, and seamless business operations. The fact that Azerbaijan provides the world’s first mobile residency and, after Estonia, the second electronic residency demonstrates its leading position in the region and globally.
N. Asadli also added that Azerbaijan is always ready for experience sharing in the implementation of digital projects. The Digital Trade Hub has been presented at the embassies of Turkey, Sweden, the Netherlands, Belgium, Latvia, Morocco, Croatia, Switzerland, Afghanistan, and other countries.
It should be noted that the operator of the Digital Trade Hub, established by the Presidential Decree on “Additional Measures for Strengthening Azerbaijan’s Position as a Digital Trade Hub and Expanding Foreign Trade Operations,” is the Center for Analysis and Communication of Economic Reforms (CAERC).
