A regular meeting of the Working Group on "Macroeconomic Stability" was held at the Central Bank of Azerbaijan to discuss the implementation of the "Strategy for Socio-Economic Development of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2022-2026." The session focused on the 2025 monitoring and evaluation results of 15 measures approved under three key pillars of the "Resilience to Internal and External Shocks" objective.

Aliyar Mammadyarov, First Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank and Chairman of the Working Group, provided an overview of the achievements regarding the "Resilience to Internal and External Shocks" goal and detailed the initiatives spearheaded by the Central Bank.

Tarana Salifova, Deputy Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), highlighted the key observations recorded during the reporting period. Subsequently, Nijat Hajizade, Head of Department at CAERC, presented the comprehensive monitoring and evaluation report on the work performed in 2025 concerning the Strategy's execution.

Extensive discussions were held among Working Group members and responsible officials from the Central Bank to further enhance the effectiveness of implemented activities, concluding with the identification of strategic next steps.

The meeting was attended by representatives from the Central Bank, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population, the Ministry of Justice, CAERC, the State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ), the Mortgage and Credit Guarantee Fund, the Deposit Insurance Fund, and the Agrarian Insurance Fund.

The Working Group on "Macroeconomic Stability" was established by Order No. 487s of the Cabinet of Ministers, dated June 12, 2023, to ensure the implementation of measures outlined in the "Strategy for Socio-Economic Development of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2022-2026" and to coordinate the activities of relevant government bodies.
