July Issue of the "Export Review" Published
The Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication has presented the July 2026 issue of the "Export Review". According to the review, in January–June 2026, Azerbaijan's non-oil sector exports (excluding non-monetary gold) increased by 16.9% compared to the same period of 2025, reaching 1.9 billion USD.
In June of the current year, Azerbaijan's non-oil exports (excluding non-monetary gold) rose by 18.2% compared to the same period last year, totaling 381.9 million USD. During this period, exports of food products increased by 19.4% to 175.3 million USD, while exports of non-food products (excluding non-monetary gold) grew by 17.3% to 206.5 million USD.
In January–June 2026, compared to the corresponding period of last year, exports of sugar increased 3.4 times, cotton yarn 2.1 times, vegetable and animal fats and oils by 50%, aluminum and products made from it by 40.1%, ferrous metals and products made from them by 30.1%, cotton fiber by 26.3%, fruits and vegetables by 18.9%, tea by 19.4%, and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages by 2.9%.
In the first half of the current year, exports of agricultural products increased by 23.9% to 563.9 million USD, and exports of agro-industrial products grew by 35.3% to 195.9 million USD. Overall, combined exports of agricultural and agro-industrial products rose by 26.6%, reaching 759.8 million USD.
During the mentioned period, gold (202.2 million USD) ranked first among the non-oil sector goods exported (excluding non-monetary gold). Tomatoes (163.8 million USD) placed second, and copper ores and concentrates (135.9 million USD) ranked third on this list.
In June 2026, tomatoes (44 million USD) topped the list of exported non-oil sector goods. Gold (34.5 million USD) ranked second, and strawberries (29.4 million USD) came third.
In January–June 2026, non-oil products worth 596.1 million USD were exported to the Russian Federation, 350.7 million USD to Türkiye, 279.8 million USD to Georgia, 213.9 million USD to Switzerland, and 73.4 million USD to Ukraine (excluding non-monetary gold).
In June 2026, non-oil products worth 162.4 million USD were exported to the Russian Federation, 50 million USD to Georgia, 44.6 million USD to Türkiye, 35.2 million USD to Switzerland, and 14.4 million USD to the United States of America.
In the ranking of non-state exporting entities compiled for January–June 2026, the following companies were represented in the top ten: "Representation of Azerbaijan International Mining Company Limited in the Republic of Azerbaijan", "Prime Cotton" LLC, "Azerbaijan Sugar Production Union" LLC, "Baku Steel Company" CJSC, "Prime Export" LLC, "Agrarco" LLC, "Silk Way Airlines" LLC, "Vvest Stream" LLC, "Tabaterra" LLC, and "P-Agro" LLC.
"Socar Polymer" LLC tops the list of state-owned companies participating in export operations in the non-oil sector (excluding non-monetary gold). The list further includes: "AzerGold" CJSC, "Marketing and Economic Operations" Department of the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan, "Azeraluminium" LLC, "Azerpambig Agro-Industrial Complex" LLC, Gas Export Department of the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan, "Azerbaijan Airlines" CJSC, "Azerenerji" Open Joint Stock Company, "Nakhchivan Energy" LLC, and "Socar Cape" LLC.
In January–June 2026, the Space Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan ("Azercosmos") provided satellite telecommunications services worth 13.1 million USD to nearly 90 companies from 33 countries worldwide. Export operations accounted for 63 percent of total revenues generated during this period. In the reporting period, the top five export destinations for satellite telecommunications services were the United Kingdom with 2.2 million USD, Luxembourg with 1.6 million USD, Türkiye with 605.4 thousand USD, Pakistan with 603.4 thousand USD, and Egypt with 327.9 thousand USD.
