The September issue of "Export Review" was announced
The September issue of "Export Review" prepared by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) was presented. According to the overview, Azerbaijan's total exports during January-August 2023 amounted to 24.4 billion US dollars, and exports in the non-oil sector increased by 14.6% compared to the corresponding period of 2022 and amounted to 2.2 billion US dollars. During January-August 2023, exports of food products amounted to 571.4 million US dollars.
During the first 8 months of the current year, electricity increased by 3.9 times, the export of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages by 3.8 times, the export of ferrous metal products by 36.6%, the export of sugar by 17.9%, and the export of fruits and vegetables by 7.4%.
During January-August 2023, the statistical value of the joint export of agricultural and agro-industrial products increased by 10.4% and amounted to 593.9 million US dollars. The value created by agro-industrial products, which occupy a significant place in the composition of non-oil/gas exports, increased by 32.8% compared to the corresponding period of last year and amounted to 132.6 million US dollars.
In January-August 2023, electricity (315 million US dollars) topped the list of non-oil goods exported. In this list, tomatoes (tomatoes) (124.3 million US dollars) are in the second place, and cotton seeds (83.4 million US dollars) are in the third place.
During January-August 2023, 721.5 million US dollars to the Russian Federation, 586.6 million US dollars to Turkey, 219.1 million US dollars to Georgia, 86.4 million US dollars to the Swiss Confederation, and 72.4 million US dollars to Kazakhstan. worth of non-oil sector goods were exported.
Non-oil exports in August of the current year amounted to 203.6 million US dollars. 51.4 million US dollars (10.3% increase) of this amount were exported for food products, and 152.2 million US dollars were exported for non-food products.
In August 2023, the Russian Federation ( 79.6 million US dollars) rose to the first place in the list of countries that exported the most goods from the non-oil sector. In this list, Turkey (31.4 million US dollars) was second and Georgia (20.4 million US dollars) was third.
In the list of non-oil goods exported in August 2023, peaches (17.4 million US dollars) are the first, polypropylene in the primary form (10.8 million US dollars) is the second, and other substances in the primary form formed by polymerization (9, 6 million US dollars) was the third.
The "Export Review" indicated that the value of non-oil exports made through the "One Stop Shop" Export Support Center in September 2023 was 31.6 million US dollars.

In January-August 2023, the Space Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan ("Azercosmos") exported satellite telecommunication services worth 12.7 million US dollars to 45 countries of the world. Azerkosmos' income from service export made up 78% of its total income. In August 2023, "Azercosmos" exported services worth 1.5 million US dollars to 40 countries of the world.
The top five satellite telecommunication services exports in January-August 2023 are the United Kingdom with 3.6 million US dollars, Luxembourg with 2.7 million US dollars, the UAE with 1.1 million US dollars, 713.2 thousand US dollars with Germany and Nigeria with 539.9 thousand US dollars.
In January-August 2023, transactions worth 1.4 billion manats were carried out in the payment service network owned by banks with payment cards issued by other non-resident financial institutions, and in August alone, transactions worth 200.9 million manats were made.
