New Videoconference Conducted upon the Initiative of the Reform Volunteers Organization
Upon the initiative of the Reform Volunteers Organization of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication of the Republic of Azerbaijan (CAERC), there was a meeting organized with the Executive Director of the CAERC, Doctor of Economics Vusal Gasimli on the topic “Economy of Azerbaijan: Challenges and Prospects”.
During the videoconference, Vusal Gasimli congratulated volunteers on the spectacular victory in the Patriotic War. He emphasized their significant role in the information war and expressed his gratitude. During the meeting with the volunteers, he spoke about budget policy, monetary policy, GDP growth, the balance of payments, and the work done in the sphere of innovative development. V.Gasimli also told about the activity taken for maintaining the macro-economic state of Azerbaijan’s economy despite the difficulties created by the COVID-19 pandemic all over the world. Moreover, he informed the volunteers about the works to be done in 2021, issues to be faced in the sphere of the non-oil sector development. In addition, the volunteers learned that for the second year in a row, the World Bank’s Doing Business report includes Azerbaijan to the top-10 reformist countries of the world, which is the result of President Ilham Aliyev's systematic and sustainable policy.
During the online meeting, the volunteers shared their opinions on the topic and addressed their questions.
It should be mentioned that along with the Reform Volunteers, the volunteers of the Regional Development Public Union, Agrarian Development Volunteers, Customs Volunteers, BIR Volunteers, ASAN Volunteers, Tourism Volunteers, and mass media representatives took part at the conference.
