Seminar on “Financial Programming” Held at CAERC
A seminar on “Financial Programming” was held at the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC). The seminar covered discussions on forecasting future GDP growth rates, key factors affecting the fiscal position, and the fundamentals of Azerbaijan’s balance of payments.
The seminar was delivered by Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) expert Benedikt Braumann and featured active participation and debate among attendees. Over the three-day program, topics included international case studies as well as the core principles of balance-of-payments analysis with a focus on Azerbaijan.
It was noted that Benedikt Braumann previously worked for many years at the International Monetary Fund, where he was involved in financial programming for various countries. As part of the seminar, he presented participants with copies of his book “Macroeconomic Planning,” which reflects his professional experience.
