A meeting of the "Economic Growth" working group was held

A meeting of the "Economic Growth" Working Group, established to achieve the target of a sustainably growing and competitive economy as envisaged in the "Socio-Economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2022–2026", has been held.

In his speech at the meeting, the Chair of the Working Group and Deputy Minister of Economy, Samad Bashirli, emphasized the role of implementing the measures outlined in the country’s Socio-Economic Development Strategy in achieving sustainable and competitive economic development. The Deputy Minister presented information on the implementation status of measures within the Working Group’s areas of activity, as well as the work carried out by the Ministry of Economy, which serves as the primary implementing agency for many of these measures.

Deputy Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, Ayaz Museyibov, and Head of Department, Nijat Hacizade, provided information on the measures implemented as part of the Strategy and the results of monitoring and evaluation for the first half of 2025.

During the meeting, discussions were held with members of the Working Group and representatives of relevant government agencies on ways to further improve performance indicators, and subsequent steps were determined.

It should be noted that in order to ensure the complete, timely, and effective implementation of the measures outlined in the "Socio-Economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2022–2026", as well as to coordinate the activities of relevant state bodies, eight working groups have been established.
