Regular Meeting of the "Innovation" Working Group Held
A meeting of the "Innovation" Working Group was held within the framework of the "Creative and Innovative Society" objective of the "Strategy for Socio-Economic Development of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2022-2026." The session focused on discussing the results of the monitoring and evaluation conducted by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) regarding the measures implemented in 2025.
With the participation of representatives from government agencies within the "Innovation" Working Group, various proposals and recommendations were voiced to ensure the timely and high-quality fulfillment of the assigned tasks. Furthermore, considering that the Strategy is in its final phase of implementation, instructions were issued to complete all outstanding measures by the end of 2026.
Tarana Salifova, Deputy Executive Director of CAERC, and Aygun Ahmadova, Acting Head of the Digital Trade Hub at CAERC, presented the monitoring and evaluation report detailing the work performed during 2025 under the "Creative and Innovative Society" objective.
The "Innovation" Working Group is chaired by Samir Mammadov, Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport. The group includes senior officials from CAERC; the Ministries of Economy, Science and Education, Foreign Affairs, Finance, Labour and Social Protection of the Population, Justice, Defense Industry, Agriculture, Culture, and Energy; as well as the Central Bank, the State Customs Committee, the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President, the State Water Resources Agency, the State Migration Service, the State Border Service, the Intellectual Property Agency, and the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.
