CAERC Establishes Online Operations Using Microsoft Tools
The Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) is implementing a remote work model to comply with the rules of the “#stayhome” initiative in collaboration with Microsoft Azerbaijan. Under this partnership, Microsoft Azerbaijan provides CAERC employees with a fully free, no-obligation 180-day Office 365 E1 package under a special license. This offer is officially supported by Microsoft in response to the COVID-19 outbreak and is designed to enable employees to work from home (WFH – Work From Home).
CAERC’s IT specialist, Elgun Khalilzade, explains that the Office 365 E1 package includes a fully online Office 365 suite (corporate email, 1TB cloud storage per user, Microsoft Teams for collaborative and remote work, Word Online, Excel Online, PowerPoint Online, etc.). In particular, Microsoft Teams offers extensive capabilities for teamwork, including video discussions and conferences. According to Khalilzade, CAERC employees will be able to collaborate collectively from any location with an internet connection and using any device.
Qaçay Mirzayev, General Manager of Microsoft Azerbaijan, stated that CAERC is one of the leading institutions in implementing innovative projects, and Microsoft Azerbaijan is pleased to collaborate with them. He added that in Azerbaijan, adhering strictly to social distancing measures and continuing professional activities from home is best supported by this technological solution.
It is worth noting that under the bilateral memorandum of cooperation signed with Microsoft Azerbaijan, CAERC has launched several innovative projects. The Azexport portal, operated by CAERC, uses Microsoft’s Azure platform.
