A CAERC representative participates in international training on financial crisis management in Vienna
Rashad Najafli, Deputy Head of the Economic Analysis Department at the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), participated in an international training programme on “Financial Crisis Management” held in Vienna, the capital of Austria.
The training was organized by the Joint Vienna Institute (JVI) of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), in collaboration with Yale University’s Financial Stability Program. It covered theoretical approaches and practical tools for strengthening financial system resilience, enhancing crisis preparedness and managing financial crises.
The programme examined key issues, including the early identification of risks in the banking sector, the supervision of banks facing financial difficulties, liquidity support during crises, deposit insurance and coordination among relevant institutions. International practices in bank restructuring, cross-border crisis management and the resolution of non-performing assets were also among the main topics covered.
Participation in the programme provided an opportunity to explore international approaches to financial risk analysis and macroeconomic resilience assessment, as well as to exchange experience with specialists from different countries.
